Join the Dots is a one-hour design session for business owners who’ve lost their visual confidence and want it back. By the end, you’ll know exactly what’s working, what’s not and what to do next. During the session over Google Meet, we’ll untangle what’s gone wrong and leave you with a clear plan to fix it.

Prior to the session, I recommend sending over a summary of what’s causing you creative grief and, if you have them, your brand guidelines. This so that I can have as much information as possible to give you maximum support in an hour.
After our Join the Dots session, you’ll receive a summary of our creative unraveling in the form of a one page report and a 30 minute check-in afterwards to see how you’re progressing.

Well Hello there, I’m Cate Be, a graphic designer and artist with over 35 years of really happy experience working in design and advertising agencies across London, the Midlands, and Edinburgh.
I work closely with various organisations designing everything from packaging and brand identities to reports, editorial layouts, event materials and environmental display. I particularly love print, paper, and great typography.
Over the last twenty years of my design career, I’ve worked closely with universities, research teams, publishers and start ups on magazine design, research reports, brand design and launches and digital campaigns.
In 2025 I took the leap and returned to working for myself and my freelance creative life resumed.
Today, I enjoy supporting small business founders along with my higher education clients, who have followed my journey and recommended me time and again for thoughtful, impactful design. Many of the design projects I’m entrusted with have multiple assets required and have included presentations, reports, display and social campaigns – all of these assets need to work together consistently yet also in isolation.
Drawing and painting plays an important part of my life and I enjoy practising this daily. I believe that by staying curious about shape, colour and form enhances and informs my design approach. I am currently working on a personal collection of abstracts in oil and enjoy creating pet portrait commissions in watercolour.
I live by the coast in Fife, Scotland, with my border terrier, two cats and relish my spare time walking and catching up with my close family and friends.

With the best will in the world I can’t solve everything in an hour but I can guide you in the right direction. I’ll also research, where required, and add this into the session report.
I like to check-in on how you’re progresing and ensure that what we have covered has been useful to you and answer any further questions you might have.
I want to ensure you get value from what we discussed in the session. However if you have another issue I’m always happy to chat further.
